Youth work to move community forward

The Destiny Movement, a group of young adults who are working to make a positive change in the community, will be holding a vigil today from 6p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at the William McKinley National Memorial at 800 McKinley Monument Drive NW.

The group was founded in spring of 2011 in response to the increasing number of deaths involving young adults during the last six months.

The group is holding the vigil to pray for students and the upcoming school year, and the event is in collaboration with the Community Coalition Against Violence and the Greater Stark County Urban League.
