As the end of January approaches, it’s likely that many New Year’s resolutions are already long forgotten. Treadmills sit, collecting dust. Diets remain unchanged, and bad habits slowly seep back into daily routines.
But here at BRsq, we have worked hard to keep our resolution. After a brief hiatus, we’re officially back in business. Every Monday, we’ll publish a new edition on our website, including news, features, commentary and sports coverage focused primarily around Canton, Ohio.
Our organization began with the goal of teaching teens and young adults how to consume and produce mass media. By combining journalistic skills with youthful ingenuity, we strive to provide quality content to serve our community. We’ll stay true to that mission, as we work to rebuild our website.
In this issue, columnist Jerry O’Brian introduces his new series, where each week he will explore different 2012 theories and prophecies. Sports reporter Seth Thompson has updates on the Federal League girls’ and boys’ basketball.
In the coming months, you may see several changes to site. So stay tuned, as the rest of the year unfolds. We appreciate your continued support. Look for a new edition on Monday, Jan. 30. Until then, please follow us on Facebook and Twitter, or stop by our new office in the annex of 2nd April in downtown.
We are still actively recruiting writers, photographers, videographers and artists. If you’d like to get involved, please email us at cantonbrsq@gmail.com. We’d love to hear from you!
